Strengths:

  • Great athlete
  • Can cover slot WRs
  •  nose for the ball
  • Solid tackler
  • Complete prospect – great work ethic, team leader, etc
  • Speed
  • Big hitter
  • Ability to blitz
  • good hands

Weaknesses:

  • injury concerns (minor)
  • Over aggressive at times

Final Word: McDonald projects as the best safety in a loaded safety class. He can do everything you want a free safety to do and he is a safe prospect. With a strong senior season, he could become  a top ten pick.
